As of 2026, SYTR has 18 active state chapters advocating for recess reform. Of those, four currently have active legislation they are advancing.

No. As a 501C4 nonprofit organization, contributions to SYTR are not tax-deductible. This designation allows us to advocate for policy changes and advance our mission more effectively, but it also means donations do not qualify for a charitable tax deduction.

Your donation supports advocacy efforts to advance legislative changes related to recess in the state you designate or . Funds are used for activities such as community outreach, education, and policy engagement. Additionally, 20 cents of every dollar donated is allocated to the SYTR general fund to support national resources, recess standards advocacy, and shared operations.
